Like Tizz, I have been trying to keep busy, with varying success rates depending on the day. Today for instance, I spent three hours futzing with the blog, only to delete one of my blog posts. Great. I have been a gloomy gus this month particularly, taking lots of naps, eating store bought cookie dough straight from the package.
Reasons store bought cookie dough isn’t as good as homemade for eating raw:
1.it is cold so there is no warm melty butter or 2. warm melty chocolate chips or 3. raw crunchy sugar.
I have also been spending money like I didn’t quit my job and my last day is this Friday. For example, I bought a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch:
This bad boy arrived while I was in the throes of a school project (and a “sick” day), so I made myself wait until evening to open it. It took me forever to get it to work with GIMP (aka I had to install a driver), so I guess it was good that I waited.
The packaging felt so luxe. It makes me feel like a grown-up when my packages don’t arrive in an airmail envelope. So I made sure to take lots of pictures while I opened box after box.
And here is me holding the tablet in its expensive-feeling black paper. It is probably not as expensive as I think it is.
Look at how nice it is! I tried to re-wrap it and it didn’t look that nice.
I also caved after weeks of obsessing and bought a pair of earrings from Anthropologie. I haven’t spent $25 (twenty bucks plus shipping) on a pair of earrings since my credit card hey-day, and it has been many moons since I would have considered anything over$20 a reasonable price for what amount to fake pearl posts. But aren’t they sweet looking?
I also made a cake.
Finally, I have been watching the third episode of Masterpiece Classics’ Emma like it is porn. Michael Gambon can gam my bones any day. So can Johnny Lee Miller, for that matter:
Jane Austen love.
