I love online shopping, and one of my favorites is Delight.com. Everyday features a different “Delight”: an item at a special price for the day. I did some of my holiday shopping at this supercute, and superchic-ly priced shop; cheese knives for one of my bridesmaids, a gurgling koi for my grandmother, and panda poo stationery for my lovely sister (which I can’t seem to find on the site right now).
The store is virtually (heh heh) bare right now, but a week ago I purchased a Delight Mystery Box. You can purchase a mystery box at $10, $15, $25, $50, and even $100 price points, and since each box is guaranteed to contain merchandise worth more than what you are paying, I thought it would be a nice time to buy a little something for myself. Plus with every box purchased, Delight donated $1 to Haiti victims.
I purchased a $25 box, and after a very long four day week, was super excited when after an even longer Friday, I came home to find my apartment complex office was still open at 5:50 pm, and a box from Delight.com awaiting me!
What they say is true! I received some really lovely things in my box:
1. The wrapping inside the box itself is vibrant tissue paper, topped with an organic lollipop.
2. Inside the tissue paper I found a suspiciously bulky RuMe bag, which normally sell for $28.50 for 3 (I have the blue and silver striped one).
3. Inside the RuMe bag the first thing I pulled out was Mrs. Meyer’s room spray in Lemon Verbena. I didn’t find the room spray on the website, but I just bought a ton of Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning products as per a New Year’s resolution of mine, and it’s wonderful stuff.
4. Next I found a Sugar Plum scented pencil, and an Ecojot workbook.
5. My favorite item was an Amy Ruppel Twist and Shut Bowl! These bowls are too pricey for me to ever buy at full price, but it seems to be of solid construction, and of course the artwork on the lid is gorgeous.
