Hi megan! Thank you for the advice, and for the comment! I don’t normally brown my kale, mostly because I didn’t know it was possible, but I will be sure to try it. I love your website. A lot. It was pretty much the first blog I started checking on a daily basis.

I don’t think you should be worried about not paying much attention during blanching, you wouldn’t have harmed the kale. I encourage you to sautee it (right out of the freezer) with some minced garlic. Even if you left it in the boiling water too long during blanching it’ll turn out great. I usually sautee until some bits have turned brown and crispy, it doesn’t take too long over medium high heat. I hope it’s delicious!
